During the close of the association’s recent Virtual Spring Summit, TLMI chair Lori Campbell announced the winners of the Eugene Singer Award for Management Excellence. One of the North American narrow web industry’s most prestigious and highest honors, the Singer Award recognizes excellence in business management measured and defined by an established set of growth and profitability ratios through participation in the TLMI Management Ratio Study.

Nearly 100 TLMI member converters throughout the United States and Canada participate in the Ratio Study, however only four companies are awarded the Eugene Singer honor each year. This year, the awards were given to the following companies:

  • Portland, OR-based Rose City Label won in the small company category for the first time.
  • Yorba Linda, CA-based Digital Label Solutions won for the mid-range company category. This is the company’s sixth time winning the Eugene Singer Award.
  • Lancaster, OH-based Blue Label Digital Printing won for the medium company category. This is the company’s first time winning the Eugene Singer Award.
  • Sanford, FL-based Consolidated Label won for the large company category. This is Consolidated Label’s 18th time winning the Eugene Singer Award.
Linnea Keen, TLMI president, comments, “Winning the Eugene Singer Award is truly one of our industry’s highest honors and achievements for a label converter. I want to personally congratulate each and every one of this year’s winners for winning in what has certainly been an unprecedented year in our industry, and in the world at large. I believe that it’s more important than ever for our member converters to have a resource like the Ratio Study at their fingertips to allow them to peer benchmark their own company’s performance against their peers and to have their finger on the pulse of the industry for the coming year as well. The Ratio Study is a resource that is unique to TLMI and one that I’m confident will be continuing to assist the association’s converters for many years to come.”
